Marian Rivera finally arrived at Eilat, Israel on Tuesday, December 7, to judge the 70th edition of the Miss Universe pageant.
Marian is set to attend a couple of activities and judging duties before the main event on December 12.
It can be recalled that the Kapuso star took to her Instagram account and posted a photo of herself and her hubby, Dingdong Dantes, on a plane on Monday.
She then uploaded another photo a few hours later and posted, “I have arrived.”
The celeb also updated her Instagram stories with photos of herself and her crew inside a service mobile in Israel.
In a online press conference, Marian shared how excited she was to be a part of the event and said, “I will be there to appreciate the beauty of women from all over the world and witness their bravery as they try to bring back some normalcy in the world, despite the radical changes that the pandemic caused in the world.”
“I’m looking forward to meeting all the girls and seeing how they inspire other people,” she added.
Meanwhile, Dingdong was just as flabbergasted for his wife and wrote on his account, “Sabi nga ng bandang Hotdog, Malinaw na malinaw, ngayon at ano mang araw, ikaw ang Miss Universe ng buhay ko.”
Apart from Dingdong, netizens have also expressed how thrilled they were for Marian and wished her luck. However, the actress also had a few detractors who questioned her ability to speak english.
Marian quickly retorted, “Kilala niyo naman ako. Hindi ako mapagpanggap. English isn’t my first language, but Filipino. And I think they chose me for all the things I have done as an actress and woman. I will express myself based on how I feel on that [finals] day.”
It is important to note that Marian was handpicked to be one of the judges and was then contacted by the organizers of the pageant.
