Mccoy de Leon Issues Statement on the Third Party Theory

On his latest Instagram story, Mccoy de Leon is more vocal in stating the fact that they separated but says that there is no one else involved: “Wala po involve na ibang tao sa pinakarason kaya kami naghiwalay. Sana po maniwala po kayo.”

He said that it was never his intention to hurt or deceive a person. “Sadyang dumating lang po sa point na sobrang bigat lang ng problema kaya po ako sumuko,” he continued.

One may recall that eight months ago, Ogie Diaz interviewed the estranged couple Mccoy and Elisse Joson on his vlog titled “Ang dahilan ng iyak ni Elisse Joson kay McCoy de Leon…” This was done during the 1st birthday of their daughter but prior to the actual party starting. “When we were a loveteam, marami pong outside forces na nakaapekto sa relationship namin. Hindi po talaga naiwasan eh pero somehow, ‘yung maririnig mo from the outside, it will affect the relationship,” said Elisse.

It can also be noted that in Dec. 2021, Pep.ph published an article centering on the issue that allegedly, Elisse’s mom, Dra. Christine Joson Diuco, is not supportive of the two’s relationship. When asked if the baby somehow brought him closer to the grandmother of his child, Mccoy just replied with: “Araw-araw ko na hinihiling na yun na lang, makumpleto, maging masaya ang lahat.”

The former couple, also known as Mclisse, was blessed with a baby girl named Felize. Mccoy’s open letter to their child initially posted last Dec. 19 gives clues as to what caused the separation.

“Sana pag tanda mo wag magbago tingin kay daddy ha. Pasensya na kung hindi lang talaga nakaya ni daddy,” a portion of it read, making some people theorize that the relationship got too toxic. However, there are followers who readily got mad at the former #Hashtags member, since prior to him making an indirect statement, photos of him with influencer Mary Joy Santiago already circulated.

“Mccoy’s statement pisses me off, more than what you can think of,” said @helloJoannaaaa from Twitter. Another Twitter user, @melowsjames, wished that women “can find a man like Cong TV and Slater Young instead of Mccoy.”

Still from the same social media app, @13bliss_ is concerned about how baby Felize was kind of used as a shield: “We should stop dragging the baby into this issue. Elisse is not releasing a statement probably because she’s protecting her baby. Can we stop involving her in this issue? Kawawa na yung bata. Wag na nating gawin pang kawawa.”

However, some reactions to the couple’s situation were lighthearted. “Huwag niyo ko tanungin sa issue ng ibang hashtags. Ang issue lang na alam ko ay hindi kami sabay-sabay sumayaw, at napatunayan din naman agad,” said Aljhon Lucas, Mccoy’s former colleague in #Hashtags. Comedy content creator Macoy Dubs has a hilarious comeback for a netizen who mistook him for Mccoy and asked him if he and Elisse indeed parted ways. “Bakla po ako. Ayaw ko po sa kiffy,” he replied.

Mccoy and Elisse’s first encounter as castmates was on the set of the Kapamilya hit drama series ‘Be Careful with my Heart’ (2012), but their Pinoy Big Brother Lucky Season 7 stint in 2016 paved the way for them to become a love team and eventually, a real life couple.
