Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly have been trending everytime they appear together, due to their chemistry whenever they attend social events. Megan Fox, who starred in many blockbuster hits, and MGK, who’s a popular rapper, each have devoted fans, and they pleasantly surprised a lot of people when news came about that they’re official.

The couple have an avid following ever since they became an item, and many of their fans followed their journey from the first time they announced they are together and even nowadays as they continue to stay strong. The two receive a lot of support due to their sweetness and because they’re so supportive of one another.

The last time they were seen together was during the MTV VMAs 2021, where MGK got into an almost-brawl with Conor McGregor. The controversial scuffle aside, a lot of their fans couldn’t get enough of their appearances, especially when they walk side by side at public events, and they’re curious to know more about their personal life.

Let’s take a look at the journey of this power couple–from how they met and how their relationship blossomed into something more.

When MGK and Megan met

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly first met on the set of a thriller movie, titled “Midnight in the Switchgrass”. According to IMDB, the movie is summarized as: “An FBI agent and Florida State officer team up to investigate a string of unsolved murder cases.” Megan was casted earlier than MGK–she joined the crew in February first then MGK followed early in March. 

The filming took place in Puerto Rico. On the first three days of the shoot, the director even shared a photo of himself with the duo. On his Instagram, he wrote: “Amazing day on set with two talented bad asses! Aftermath of a fight sequence! @meganfox @machinegunkelly”

After a week of filming, however, things took a turn as the COVID-19 pandemic caused the postponement of the project, with everyone having to go back home. It seemed that the two have begun hanging out while they were on set, with MGK even sharing a picture of their seats next to each other.

In the future, when MGK and Megan would do their first interview together on an episode of “Give Them Lala … With Randall” where the director of their movie inquired about their early interactions, Megan said: “I was like ‘Who’s going to play this role?’ And he was like, ‘Oh, we just got Machine Gun Kelly.’ And immediately I was like, ‘Uh oh,’. I knew. I could feel that some wild s*** was going to happen to me from that meeting, but I wasn’t yet sure what. I just felt it like, deep in my solar plexus that something was going to come from that.”

And during filming, Kelly said he would wait outside for a glimpse of eye contact with Megan at that point. “She would have to get out of her car,” he narrated. “There were like five steps between the car and the trailer. I would just sit there and hope.”

Spotted during May

The next time the two were spotted was in May, when the pair was seen ordering takeout food in California. This was in the middle of the rumors about the end of Megan’s marriage with Brian Austin Green–with whom she has three sons: Noah, Bodhi and Journey.

It was on May 19 when E! News reported an exclusive statement from a source, saying: “Megan has been working on a movie with Machine Gun Kelly and gotten close to him. They are hooking up and have been for a little while…she is separated from Brian Austin Green and they are taking time apart as a couple. She has something going on with Machine Gun Kelly that she is excited about,” the source claimed, and it has also been said that despite their movie being postponed, Megan got to see Kelly often in L.A. “The movie will be starting up again soon and they are happy to get back to work and continue being together.”

Green also subsequently confirmed the separation rumors on a podcast days later, stating that they have been on break since December of 2019. He stated: “”I will always love her, and I know she’ll always love me and I know as far as a family what we have built is really cool and it’s really special…It sucks when life changes and something that you’re used to, that you’ve been doing for 15 years, you try and not get rid of but you change. There’s the unknown aspect and that’s really scary. There’s that pit in my stomach. I really don’t want Megan and I to be at odds. At the end of it all, she’s been my best friend for 15 years and I don’t want to lose that.”

And concerning her new beau MGK, Green said: “Megan and I talked about him and they’re friends at this point, and from what she’s expressed, he’s a really just nice, genuine guy. I trust her judgment. She’s always had really good judgment.”

Music video appearance

To the surprise of many fans, Machine Gun Kelly dropped a new music video for his song My Bloody Valentine on May 20, which featured Megan Fox. The music video showcased Megan Fox acting domineering over MGK. This only fueled the speculation that they’re indeed an item. The two also shared the video on their respective social media accounts.

Sweet PDA

When June rolled around, pictures of the two being together could be seen everywhere. The rapper even tweeted as if to confirm the rumors: “I’m calling you my girlfriend, what the f**k… life imitated art on that one. ❤️”

On an episode of “Give Them Lala … With Randall”, the duo did their first interview together, with Megan saying that they’re “twin flames.” She expressed: “We’re actually two halves of the same soul,” she said. “I said that to him almost immediately, because I felt it right away.”

MGK also started posting photos of themselves with sweet captions.

As for Green finding out about the relationship, the actor said that both of them are still committed to co-parenting and doing their best. He said: “I think it’s going as well as it can…there’s no rule book to it. There’s no way of doing it right or doing it wrong. We are learning as we go. The important thing for us is just communicating as much as we can.”

On the red carpet

By November of 2020, the two appeared at the red carpet of the American Music Awards with one another in tow. Since then, the duo would be eye-catching in their public appearances for their fashion and sweetness whenever they are out together!
