The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2024 has unveiled full details of its first-ever Wild Card stage. Taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the Esports World Cup from 28 to 30 June, the Wild Card will see eight (8) teams fight for a single slot in the MSC 2024 Group Stage.

Also held in Riyadh, the MSC 2024 will feature 16 international teams competing on the biggest mid-year Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) stage yet.

With the theme #SeeTheWorld, the rebranded MSC 2024 (previously MLBB Southeast Asia Cup) has expanded its global presence to a wider international community to forge unforgettable moments together. The MSC 2024 is the first title to make its debut at the Esports World Cup and will feature a one-off prize pool of USD 3 million to commemorate the partnership as it ventures outside Southeast Asia for the first time.

Historic Wild Card debut features 8 international teams

The inaugural Wild Card stage will divide eight (8) teams into two groups to play a single round-robin best-of-one (BO1) match. The matches start at 11:00 (GMT+3) on both 28 and 29 June. 

The top team from each group will enter Phase 2 of the Wild Card – scheduled on 30 June, at 13:00 (GMT+3) and 18:00 (GMT+8) – to play a best-of-five (BO5) match. The winner of the second phase will proceed to the MSC 2024 Group Stage. Meanwhile, the seven other teams will be eliminated. 

16 teams will vie for the ultimate prize

In the Group Stage, the world’s top 16 teams, including the Wild Card Stage winner, will be divided into four (4) groups – A, B, C, and D. From 3 to 7 July 2024, each group will play a single round-robin BO2 match, wherein the top two ranked teams per group will advance to the Knockout Stage. The two lowest-ranked teams per group will bid goodbye to their Knockout contention. 

The top team for each group will play with the top 2 teams of the other groups, for the Knockout Stage. All matches will follow a BO5 format, and will start at 11:00 (GMT+3) or 16:00 (GMT+8) daily. Meanwhile, the Grand Finals Day will be a BO7, set on 14 July, at 13:00 (GMT+3) or 18:00 (GMT+8).

To join the event, simply open the game and click on the MSC 2024 event icon. For 719 in-game diamonds (with a 20% discount included), fans can purchase an MSC pass, get the Valentina skin, and earn MSC event coins. 

Players can also purchase the irresistible MSC Treasure Box and receive gifts such as the Inspiring Flag. The Inspiring Flag can be activated during the ranked hero selection phase to earn more MSC event coins at the end of the game. After opening a certain number of treasure boxes, players can also obtain the Pharsa Hierophant Skin from the Treasure box.

In addition, players can participate in a brand new knockout tournament guessing game and predict the complete knockout tournament advancement chart after the Group Stage. Better rewards await those who have more correct guesses. 

Finally, fans can receive login gifts for the last 2 days of MSC 2024 from 13 to 14 July. All players from MSC 2024 champion countries/regions can receive 100% EXP rewards and the MSC Champion Treasure box from 15 to 21 July.
