Molly Jou Appointed as General Manager of BrandStory Southeast Asia

We are delighted to announce that Molly Jou has been appointed as the General Manager for BrandStory Southeast Asia, effective immediately.  

Educated in Taiwan and the United States of America making her effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin, Molly holds a Master of Science in Corporate and Organizational Communications from Northeastern University in Boston, complimenting her bachelor’s degree from one of Taiwan’s top tertiary institutions – National Taiwan Normal University. Leading an active lifestyle, Molly puts the same passion and drive she has for cycling and marathons into her work with BrandStory.  

With 15 years of experience across the tourism, startups, education and healthcare sectors, Molly has excelled in leading marketing strategies, public relations and brand communications. Since joining BrandStory in 2014, she has been a key member of the Brand USA team covering Taiwan, Hong Kong and the fast-growing outbound tourism source region of South-east Asia, including Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. She subsequently served as SEA Account Director for New York City Tourism + Conventions and Qatar Tourism and Authority covering travel trade partnerships, public relations and social media marketing. 

As a key member of BrandStory, she has headed destination marketing teams for Hawai’i Tourism Authority, Brand USA, Visit Brisbane, Illinois Office of Tourism, Luxembourg National Tourist Office and Kerala Tourism, playing a pivotal role in facilitating market entry for clients to engage leading travel enablers in each market, designing strategic initiatives and building strong industry partnerships. As a key team player, she has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication to delivering impressive results. 

With her deep expertise in marketing, communications, and program management, Molly has been a driving force in BrandStory’s growth and success. Her extensive portfolio includes collaborations with clients from the USA, Australia, India and Middle East. Her expertise includes insightful market research, results-achieving digital and social media strategy and marketing, impactful consumer activations, motivational industry education initiatives that produce high-retention of in-depth destination knowledge. 

In her new role, Molly will lead BrandStory Southeast Asia’s business development, marketing and communications efforts, working closely with clients and partners across travel, hospitality, lifestyle, and other industries. Together with Echo Zhao, General Manager for BrandStory China, she will strengthen BrandStory’s position as a trusted agency for businesses with interests in the Greater China and Southeast Asia markets.
