Nadine Lustre has another reason to celebrate as the sexy star won Best Actress at the 71st Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences awards night.

One may note that the star bagged the award for her portrayal of Kichi in the horror-suspense-drama movie Greed. The event took place at the Manila Hotel on Sunday, August 13.

“Maraming-maraming salamat po sa FAMAS Awards. Isang malaking karangalan po para sa bumubuo ng ‘Greed’ at ng ‘Deleter’ na makasama po sa mga nominated ngayong gabi. Pero isang malaking karangalan din po na magkaroon nito. Gusto ko po itong ide-dedicate sa lahat po ng nagmamahal at sumusuporta sa akin.”

She then continued on and said, “Sa buong pamilya ko po, sa partner ko po, sa friends ko, my team. Sa bumubuo po ng ‘Greed’ and of course to my Viva Films family. And Direk Yam, Direk Yam Laranas maraming-maraming salamat po for trusting in me, for pushing me and for giving me this opportunity to do ‘Greed.’ Maraming salamat po. Thank you.”

Apart from Nadine, other personalities were recognized that night for their outstanding performances.

Noel Trinidad was hailed Best actor for starring in the film Family Matters, while Ma-an Asuncion-Dagñalan was named Best Director for Blue Room.

Meanwhile, hunky actor Sid Lucero won the Best Supporting Actor award for, Reroute, and Nikki Valdez was chosen as Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Family Matters.
