After more than two decades, Adrien Brody claimed his second Best Actor award for The Brutalist, where he portrayed Hungarian architect László Tóth. In a heartfelt speech, Brody reflected on the challenges of an acting career, expressing gratitude to his family and longtime supporters. “This industry is fragile,” he said. “Tonight, I stand here with renewed appreciation for the craft and for the people who believe in the power of storytelling.”

Brody’s win prevented Timothée Chalamet (A Complete Unknown) from breaking his own record as the youngest Best Actor winner, a feat he achieved with The Pianist in 2002.

Meanwhile, Oprah Winfrey, Whoopi Goldberg, and Queen Latifah honored the legendary Quincy Jones, celebrating his indelible mark on the music and film industry.

As the 2025 Oscars wrapped up, it was clear that the night belonged to independent cinema and powerful performances. With Anora leading the charge, this year’s ceremony proved that bold storytelling and heartfelt artistry remain at the heart of Hollywood.
