SINGAPORE, Oct. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — China Yuchai International Limited (NYSE: CYD) (“China Yuchai International” or the “Company“), one of the largest powertrain solution manufacturers through its main operating subsidiary in China, Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Company Limited (“Yuchai“), announced today that Mr. Li Hanyang, Chairman of Yuchai recently led a delegation on a series of market visits across East, West and North Africa to gain insight into local market demand, strengthen key partnerships and explore new business opportunities.

In East Africa, the delegation met with representatives from local ministries of agriculture and agricultural research institutes to discuss the local market conditions, powertrain solutions tailored to meet local requirements and potential cooperation in the agricultural machinery sector. They also visited a local customer and attended the delivery ceremony for the 1000^th Yuchai engine to local customers, reflecting Yuchai’s growing market presence in East Africa.

In West Africa, the delegation visited Nigeria where it engaged with local dealers, OEMs, and key customers on powertrain solutions, after-sales services and channel expansion. They also met with the Chairman of Dangote Group, one of the largest industrial conglomerates in Africa, to discuss opportunities to expand the two group’s longstanding partnership across additional product categories, energy equipment and localized production. To date, Dangote Group has deployed more than 7,000 Yuchai engines in trucks, buses and off-road machinery equipment and power generation equipment.

In North Africa, the delegation visited Egypt, where they met with the Chairman of a local automotive company to explore potential areas of cooperation.

These visits reinforced Yuchai’s relationships with partners across key African markets. Going forward, Yuchai intends to continue pursuing its customer-focused international expansion strategy by enhancing its product offerings, local services and partnerships to support long-term market development.
