GUANGZHOU, China, Oct. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — From Peruvian folk dance to Chinese multi-ethnic performances, a recent cultural showcase by China Southern Power Grid International (CSGI) illustrated how diversity can unite rather than divide. The event marked the company’s second annual Cross-Cultural Integration Month, a flagship initiative embedding cultural exchange into its global operations.

Operating across Laos, Vietnam, Chile and Peru, CSGI has made cross-cultural integration a strategic priority. The company has issued guidelines with 13 concrete measures, incorporated cultural goals into its development planning, and appointed senior managers at overseas offices as integration champions. Exchange programs, multilingual communications and publications such as CSGI Story help employees build trust and teamwork.

The impact is personal. Peruvian employee Maria Parraga Claudio says a three-month exchange in China transformed her ability to collaborate. Chilean safety expert Jorge Li Yau Tolosa traced his family’s roots to Zhongshan, Guangdong, fulfilling a century-old dream. In Laos, Viengvilaylak Phouththalath—known locally as “Village Chief Wan”—has helped resettle communities and restore livelihoods around the Nam Tha 1 hydropower project.

CSGI has also delivered more than 30 small but impactful community projects overseas. Its Laos “Champa Flower” initiative was recognized as a global poverty-reduction best practice, while its Vietnam subsidiary received a UNESCO-associated “Model Cultural Enterprise” award.

By turning cultural understanding into tangible cooperation, CSGI is building a model of shared growth—one that connects hearts across borders and strengthens its journey toward becoming a world-class enterprise.
