Rising Designers Take the Spotlight at the 2025 Fashion Trust U.S. Awards

The 2025 Fashion Trust U.S. Awards in Hollywood celebrated the rising stars of fashion, spotlighting emerging designers and their innovative contributions. The third annual event, hosted by Keke Palmer, took place at The Lot at Formosa. The evening highlighted the winners across various categories, each receiving recognition for their outstanding work and vision.
Here are the top five winners:
1. Rachel Scott (Ready-to-Wear)
Rachel Scott, the designer behind the brand Diotima, won the coveted Ready-to-Wear award. Known for her hand-crocheted sportswear inspired by her Jamaican heritage, Scottâs designs embody a blend of tradition and modernity. Her unique creations celebrate Caribbean culture while looking toward the future of fashion. This award also includes a grant and access to the Google mentorship program, which will help further elevate her brand.
2. Dani Griffiths (Accessories)
Dani Griffiths of Clyde took home the Accessories Award for her sculptural hats and minimalist leather goods. Griffiths began her journey with crocheted wool accessories and has since expanded to include hand-blocked hats and leather bags crafted in New York and New Jersey. Her designs are known for their modern, poetic flair that combines artistry and practicality.
3. Rebecca Zeijdel-Paz (Jewelry)
Rebecca Zeijdel-Paz, the Venezuelan-born designer behind Beck, won the Jewelry Award. Zeijdel-Paz draws inspiration from her Caribbean roots and New York life, creating fine jewelry that reflects the textures and colors of the sea. Her designs feature a unique blend of precious metals and stones, offering an artistic yet sophisticated take on contemporary jewelry.
4. Kwame Adusei (Sustainability Award)
The Sustainability Award went to Nana Kwame Adusei of Kwame Adusei, a brand known for its sculptural tailoring and West African influences. Aduseiâs designs are a fusion of contemporary silhouettes and eco-conscious craftsmanship. This award highlights his commitment to sustainable fashion practices while drawing from his rich cultural heritage.
5. Patrick Taylor (Graduate Award)
Patrick Taylor, a graduate of Parsons School of Design, received the Graduate Award for his exceptional work in knitwear design. The London-born, New York-based designer impressed the judges with his innovative approach to knitwear, and his talent has already caught the attention of major editors and stylists. The award includes a grant from St. John and is a significant boost to his emerging career.
6. Anthony Vaccarello (Honorary Award)
The evening also featured the presentation of the inaugural Honorary Award to Anthony Vaccarello, creative director of Saint Laurent. The award recognized Vaccarello’s profound impact on modern fashion, highlighting his lasting influence and leadership in the fashion world.
These winners exemplify the creative innovation and fresh perspectives that are shaping the future of fashion, proving that emerging designers continue to push boundaries while staying grounded in their cultural roots and sustainable practices.
