Hollywood is no stranger to satire, but The Studio might just be the most self-aware take on the industry yet. Apple TV+ has finally dropped the official trailer for Seth Rogen’s highly anticipated comedy series, and it delivers exactly what fans expected—pure, unfiltered Hollywood chaos.

Rogen stars as Matt Remick, a well-meaning but utterly unprepared movie executive who finds himself at the helm of Continental Studios, a once-great film powerhouse now struggling to stay afloat.

The trailer offers a glimpse into the absurdity of running a major production company, from high-maintenance directors to backstabbing executives, proving that behind the glitz and glamour, the film business is a minefield of egos, money, and impossible expectations.

As both the star and co-creator, Rogen brings his signature blend of deadpan humor and frantic energy to The Studio. His character, Matt Remick, is the ultimate industry outsider—an enthusiastic executive who genuinely believes he can balance artistic ambition with commercial success. The problem? No one else in Hollywood seems to share that optimism.

The trailer hints at Remick’s desperate attempts to please everyone, from eccentric auteurs demanding unlimited creative freedom to studio accountants who see films as little more than spreadsheets.

Every decision he makes leads to unintended disasters, whether it’s dealing with an A-list actor’s meltdown or trying to salvage a film that’s already millions of dollars over budget. Think The Office meets Entourage, but with an extra layer of absurdity that only Rogen could pull off.

Backing up Rogen is a stellar ensemble cast packed with comedic heavyweights. Catherine O’Hara plays Elaine, a legendary but temperamental director whose reputation is on the line. Kathryn Hahn portrays the sharp-witted head of marketing, constantly spinning bad press into industry buzz. Ike Barinholtz takes on the role of the studio’s jaded head of production, while Chase Sui Wonders rounds out the executive team as an ambitious up-and-comer willing to shake things up—sometimes at her own peril.

Beyond the core cast, The Studio also boasts an impressive lineup of guest stars, including Hollywood royalty like Martin Scorsese, Olivia Wilde, and Zoë Kravitz. The trailer teases their hilarious cameo appearances, with Scorsese delivering a particularly deadpan critique of Remick’s decision-making skills.

Rogen and his longtime writing partner Evan Goldberg have infused the show with their insider knowledge of the industry, making The Studio feel both exaggerated and painfully accurate. The humor is fast-paced and irreverent, but it also captures the emotional toll of working in a business that’s as unpredictable as it is exhilarating.

If you’ve ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes of your favorite blockbusters—or just want to watch Seth Rogen slowly lose his mind trying to keep a studio afloat—this is the show for you. With its sharp writing, brilliant performances, and all-too-real industry satire, The Studio is set to be Apple TV+’s next big hit.
