Christmas came early for Kapuso fans last November 20 at the SM North Skydome where the first grand Sparkle Fans Day was held.

Sparkada and Sparkle Love Teams gave their all to express their thanks to the fans who support them. There were special segments including some Kapuso Prime artists, GMA Singers, and the main cast members of the much-awaited Voltes V: Legacy.

There was a pre-show with two opening segments from Matt Lozano, the “Big Bert” of Voltes V: Legacy, as well as The Clash Season 2 Grand Champion, soul singer Jeremiah Tiangco. The pre-show hosts were Rain Matienzo, Anjay Anson, and Zonia Mejia.

Prizes were raffled out and the Kapuso stars drew them, after a short question and answer segment. The “Bad Romance Challenge” with the GMA Singers was hit among fans, as Zephanie, Jessica Villarubin, Jeremiah Tiangco, etc., belted out the first line of Lady Gaga’s hit song, with the key rising for each consecutive singer.

The main part of the Sparkle Fans Day was hosted by Tictoclock anchor Rabiya Mateo. It started with an energetic number from majority of the Sparkada members grooving to the summer theme song of Sparkle, ‘Kung Ikaw ang Kasama’. The Clash grand champions Jeremiah Tiangco, Jessica Villarubin, and Mariane Osabel performed the 2022 GMA Christmas Station ID, together with Sparkle cutie Mitzi Josh, Danielle May Ozara and Melbelline Anne Caluag from the Kapuso Girl Group XOXO, and Thea Astley, who’s The Clash Season 2 runner-up.

The Yuletide feels was further reinforced by the hair-raising performance of ‘Christmas in our Hearts’ by Yasser Marta, Lianne Valentin, Luke Conde, and Kim de Leon.

Sparkle love teams Ysabel Ortega and Miguel Tanfelix; Jamir Zabarte and Zonia Mejia; and Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay brought romantic excitement with their special number. Taylor Swift lovers rejoiced as Shayne Sava took on the pop icon’s beloved song, ‘Wildest Dreams’.

Andrea Torres sizzled in a daring dance number while donned in a shimmery black ensemble. It’s as if she’s Sisa’s reincarnation out to make Padre Damaso and Padre Salvi renounce their priesthood. 

Of course, other fan favorites Ken Chan, Biance Umali, Sanya Lopez, Jeric Gonzales, and Arra San Agustin made waves with their respective song numbers.

Zephanie, Kapuso’s Gen Z Pop Star, showcased her brilliant vocals as she performed her rendition of “Give Love on Christmas Day”, which was a fitting closing number to such vibrant show.

Sparkada is a collective term which refers to the teen actors and actresses newly-added to the roster of the Sparkle GMA Artist Center. The 17 fresh-faced individuals were launched April 17 of this year, after they were handpicked by Johnny Manahan aka Mr. M himself. Some of the more prominent members of this group are Roxie Smith (formerly known as Roxanne Baeyens of Miss Earth 2020) and Anjay Anson (Tiktok viral star and Widow’s Web cast member).

Here are the rest of the novel stunners: Cheska Fausto, Vanessa Peña, Kirsten Gozales, Caitlyn Stave, Dilek Montemayor, Tanya Ramos, Lauran King, Saviour Ramos, Jeff Moses, Michael Sager, Kim Perez, Vince Maristela, Raheel Bhyria, Larkin Castor, and Sean Lucas.

The newest Sparkle love teams of the Sparkle GMA Artist Center are: Mavy Legaspi and Kyline Alcantara; Jamir Zabarte and Zonia Mejia; Bruce Roeland and Althea Ablan; and Allen Ansay and Sofia Pablo.
