Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano commended the Taguig City Police Station (TCPS) for a series of successful anti-criminality and law enforcement operations this October that led to the arrest of high-value targets, the capture of the NCRPO’s No. 2 Most Wanted Person, and the disruption of illegal drug activities in several barangays.

Mayor Lani recognized the leadership of PCOL Byron F. Allatog, head of the Taguig City Police Station, for the team’s swift coordination and consistent action in maintaining public safety across the city:

“These accomplishments show the dedication and professionalism of our police force. I commend the men and women of the Taguig City Police for their courage and tireless effort in upholding peace and order.

Throughout October, the Taguig Police carried out the following major operations:

– Apprehension of NCRPO’s Top 2 Most Wanted Person. On October 7, police arrested Jomar Salik y Radzak, 21, tagged as the Top 2 Most Wanted Person (Regional Level) for murder, during an anti-criminality operation in Barangay Upper Bicutan.

– ₱3.8 Million Shabu Seized in Pembo. A high-value drug personality, Rowel Mendoza, 26, was arrested in a buy-bust operation on October 1, yielding over half a kilo of shabu valued at ₱3.8 million.

– ₱1.15 Million Shabu Confiscated in Upper Bicutan. On October 8, operatives nabbed James Jason Bagaforo, 35, in a rooftop buy-bust operation, confiscating 169.3 grams of shabu worth ₱1.15 million.

– Visitor Nabbed Sneaking Drugs into Jail — In coordination with the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, police caught a female visitor attempting to smuggle ₱95,200 worth of shabu into the Manila City Jail Annex in Camp Bagong Diwa on October 12.

– Motorcycle Hold-up Scam Suspect Arrested — Police apprehended Anthony Robert Santos, believed to be behind a series of hold-up scams targeting motorcycle taxi riders in Taguig and nearby cities.

– Street-Level Drug Arrest — Continued patrols also led to the arrest of alias “DCS,” 34, in Barangay North Daang Hari, with ₱59,160 worth of shabu seized.

Mayor Lani said these results reflect the importance of coordination between the local government and the police in addressing crime and strengthening community protection:

“Every arrest and every recovery of illegal items contribute to safer streets and stronger trust between the police and the people. We will continue working with law enforcement to build a Transformative, Lively, and Caring city.”
