Around 1,500 incoming Grade 12 students are now taking free college entrance examination review classes under the City of Taguig’s Academic Competency and College Entry Support System (ACCESS), a 10-week program that prepares them for admission to the country’s top colleges and universities.

The City of Taguig and the Taguig City University (TCU), in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) Taguig and Pateros, launched the program on May 23. Classes are held every Saturday until July 25 and cover English, Mathematics, Science, Filipino, Social Science, Analytical Reasoning, and General Information. Students also take diagnostic pre-tests and post-tests to measure their progress.

The city accepted applicants on a first-come, first-served basis, with all 1,500 slots filled shortly after registration opened, reflecting the strong demand among Taguigeño students for free college entrance examination preparation.
Mayor Lani Cayetano said ACCESS reflects the city’s commitment to making quality educational opportunities more accessible to students preparing for higher education:

She encouraged participants to make the most of the opportunity:

Mayor Lani also thanked the Taguig City University and DepEd Taguig and Pateros for their continued partnership in implementing the program.
