“Been so excited to tell you all that The Eras Tour concert film is now officially coming to theaters worldwide on Oct 13!” she added.

Sam Wrench helmed the concert film, which reportedly has a duration of two hours and 45 minutes. He has gained recognition for his directorial work on significant live event and concert documentaries, having worked with artists like Billie Eilish, Lizzo, and on Jennifer Lopez’s Netflix documentary “Halftime.”

The upcoming “The Eras Tour” film version is her fourth concert film following Fearless, 1989, and Reputation.

Swift‘s “Eras” tour has been smashing records, with the potential to become North America’s highest-grossing tour ever, raking in an astonishing $2.2 billion in ticket sales. The previous record, held by Elton John’s “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour from 2018 to 2023, stood at $887 million.

According to the reports, Ayala Malls Cinemas and SM Cinemas have both announced that tickets for the concert film will be available for purchase at their individual locations and official websites. Nevertheless, details regarding ticket prices and screening schedules have not been revealed at this time.

It can be recalled that Pinoy fans and enthusiasts experienced disappointment and dismay when the Philippines was conspicuously absent from the list of destinations on her “Eras Tour.”

On June 21, Taylor Swift unveiled the itinerary for her extensive global tour spanning the remainder of the year and extending through September 2024. She also shared the newly added tour dates across her social media platforms. “EXCUSE ME HI I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY,” she posted. “I can’t wait to see so many of you on The Eras Tour next year on these new international dates!”

According to the itinerary, Taylor’s tour includes stops only in Singapore and Japan within Asia. Additionally, Singapore stands out as the sole Southeast Asian destination on her list. The news of Manila being omitted from her updated tour destinations left Pinoy Swifties, the devoted fans of Taylor, feeling disheartened and disappointed. They took to social media to share their emotional responses.

Swifties Philippines, the fan community responsible for coordinating Taylor-related events in the country, conveyed their profound sadness through a heartfelt message on their Facebook page. This tour announcement is truly heartbreaking…we don’t know if there’s still hope…but still,” the group stated.

“To every Filipino Swifties who’s putting their hearts and efforts to show how much we love Taylor Swift and her music, we still have each other,” it added. “There are no wasted efforts— only fun memories, friendships, and bonds, and to all the gatherings we made, we had the time of our lives, and we will still continue to make more unforgettable experiences as Swifties,” it added, trying to cheer their members up despite feeling upset.

Numerous people reminisced about the unwavering dedication of Filipino fans to Taylor Swift and her music. Additionally, certain fans brought attention to past events and activities undertaken by Filipino Swifties.
