The chairwoman and founder of PC Goodheart Foundation, Baby Go, which is the organization behind the 4th Diamond Golden Awards, vows to continue with their advocacy of “serving and helping other people, painting the world with love and compassion.”
She also shared a time and tested saying in relation to this: “Never get tired of doing little things for others. Sometimes those little things occupy the biggest part of their hearts.”
She touched on the financial sabotage and depression brought about by the pandemic in her opening speech. “And yet here we are, patuloy na tumatayo, lumalaban, at naninindigan sa diwa ng pagmamahal at pagkalinga sa nangangailangan,” she said.
According to the entrepreneur-philantrophist dubbed as the Philippine’s “Queen of Indie Films” in entertainment circles, the awards that were bestowed upon the individuals from different walks of life present that night, meant to show the organization’s appreciation for these achievers’ successful journey in life, as well as their passion and the sacrifices they made to reach the zenith of their goals.
Some of the honorees that night include: Dulce (Most Durable Performer of the Year), Hon. Councilor Ervic Vijandre (Most Outstanding Rookie City Councilor of the Year), Hon. Mayor Marcos M. Mamay (Outstanding Public Servant 2023), Hon. Senator Ma. Imelda Josefa Remedios “Imee” R. Marcos (Most Empowered Public Servant of the Year), Hon. Imelda Papin, who won the award for “Most Outstanding Ambassador for Overseas Filipino Workers”, serenaded the audience and awardees alike with her soulful ‘Iniibig mo ang Iniibig ko’. Seb. Raffy Tulfo, flanked by a couple of bodyguards, gave a rousing speech as the “Most Phenomenal Political Personality of the Year”.
True enough to this accolade, he mentioned what his critics ask, “Bakit mo dinadala sa Senado yung ugali mo sa Wanted sa Radyo?” He addressed this by saying that the voters knew that he would do the same thing in the Senate, that is precisely why they voted for him. He acknowledges that we have many intelligent lawmakers, and he would do the best that he can to help legislators pass laws that would benefit majority of the Filipino people. Regarding his award from Baby Go’s foundation, he said: “This would serve as an inspiration for me to work even harder.”
The 4th Diamond Golden Awards was held last February 12 evening at the very spacious 2nd floor ballroom/function hall of the New World Makati Hotel.
