Viu Original ‘K-Love’ By World-Renowned Film Creators, Streaming Soon

Viu Original series, K-Love, created by critically acclaimed Hollywood filmmakers, is set to be released this 2022. Made for K-drama fans, this local series is expected to warm the hearts of Filipinos through the characters.
Behind-the-Scenes: The Makers of ‘K-Love’
Marvel Studios Executive and Series Creator, Corinna Vistan, leads the team behind K-Love. She was one of the creators behind 19 out of 29 Marvel films released and was awarded a Gold Clio for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and a Silver Telly in 2016 and 2017 for Doctor Strange and Thor: Ragnarok.
Behind K-Love’s cinematography is Ian Takahashi. Some of his work include The Suicide Squad 2 and Harry Styles’ music video Falling. He also bagged a Clio for Best Cinematography for a Kaiser Permanente ad for NBA Star, Stephen Curry.
Other renowned individuals who work as part of the team behind this Viu Original series include former Editor-in-Chief for Summit Publications, Tara Sering, under whose belt produced the highest-selling number of books and novels in Philippine history specializing in contemporary women’s fiction; Tweet Sering, the best-selling author of “One of the Best Philippine Books” Wander Girl, who is also a recipient of the country’s top literary honor, the Carlos Palanca Writers Memorial Award for advancements in Philippine Literature; Script Development Executive Lea Dizon, a previous executive under the Walt Disney Studios who worked on international children’s animation series Valt, the Wonder Deer; Katherine Visconti, a writer for CBS’s FBI, NBC’s Chicago PD, and Kiefer Sutherland’s Designated Survivor. Also, fashion stylist and current Vogue Philippines fashion editor, Pam Quiñones, heads the show’s wardrobe styling.
Ultimately, behind the esteemed crew of K-Love is director Bobby Yan — seven-time Emmy Awards winner as Producer and Editor of MLB Tonight. Yan is also a member of the ABC Disney Directing Fellowship. Some of his work are TV shows Agents of Shield, Showtime’s The Chi, and The Politician. Marz, his most recent indie film, appeared in Toronto, Palm Springs, London, and other international film festivals.
K-Love tells the story of five K-drama enthusiasts from different walks of life, and how their love for K-drama teaches them to take risks and pursue their own happy endings.
Viu’s newest series is starred by Iza Calzado, Isabelle Daza, Sue Ramirez, Gabby Padilla, and Jake Cuenca.
