Xian Lim, the versatile actor, has stepped behind the camera to bring us his directorial debut, “Kuman Thong.” This horror film, co-written by Xian and his talented girlfriend, filmmaker Iris Lee, has been making waves in Philippine cinemas since its release.

“Kuman Thong”delves into the mystical and eerie. The title refers to beings worshipped in Thai folk religion—entities believed to bring luck to their owners. But as the story unfolds, luck takes a dark turn. The film introduces us to a mother who tragically loses her son. Desperate to reunite with him, she turns to a Kuman Thong statue. Yet, instead of a joyful reunion, she faces terrifying consequences.
