The City of Taguig kicked off the fourth year of its Christmas by the Lake attraction on Saturday with the opening of the Taguig Lakeshore Carnival at TLC Park in Brgy. Lower Bicutan.
Mayor Lani Cayetano led the ceremonial lighting of the Christmas centerpiece tree and the illumination of the lakeside holiday village, joined by city officials, barangay leaders, and community representatives.
Before the countdown, Mayor shared a Bible verse which she said reflects this yearโs holiday theme. Citing Matthew 18:3, she read: โTruly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven.โ
She explained that the faith and hope of a child are โsolid,โ adding that children dream big and believe in the seemingly impossible.
โSikapin natin sa araw-araw ang puso ng bata ay sumaatin,โ she said, encouraging everyone to carry the same joy and openness throughout the season.
Mayor Lani described the park as a place built out of love โ โpag-ibig para sa lahat, pero natatangi para sa mga kabataanโ โ and noted that the free public venue aims to give families a place to celebrate together. She also welcomed visitors from outside Taguig, saying the park is open to guests from neighboring cities:
โTo all of you, welcome and God bless us all. Sama-sama po nating i-welcome ang Kapaskuhan nang may pasasalamat sa Panginoon. Pagpalain ng Panginoon ang Probinsyudad ng Taguig.โ
Guests entering the Taguig Lakeshore Carnival are welcomed by a grand, festive archway that leads into a vibrant carnival village filled with playful and colorful displays. A moving carousel centerpiece serves as the heart of the park, surrounded by life-sized character cutouts and interactive installations designed for memorable photo opportunities. The area also features charming Western-style booths, Christmas-themed light displays, a towering holiday tree by the lakeside, and designated viewing spots where visitors can enjoy the illuminated waterscape.
Families and friends can stroll through scenic pathways, explore various food kiosks and pop-up dining stalls, and enjoy weekend entertainment that brings lively music and performances to the park โ creating a joyful experience fit for all ages.
The park operates daily, with the following schedule:
November 30, 2025 to January 11, 2026
(Park will be closed on December 24, 25, 31 and January 1)
Sunday to Thursday: 5:00 PM โ 10:00 PM
Friday and Saturday: 5:00 PM โ 11:00 PM
Admission to the park is free, with guests encouraged to book online, although walk-ins are also welcome. With every corner thoughtfully designed, Christmas by the Lake offers attractions suited for families, friends, and holiday visitors looking for scenic spaces and photo-worthy displays.
To ensure a safe and seamless experience, medical and help desks, CCTV cameras, roving security, and parking spaces are in place. Priority lanes are available for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and pregnant women, while pets are allowed under certain conditions.
Now on its fourth year, Christmas by the Lake remains one of the most visited holiday destinations in the city, drawing over a million annually to enjoy its lakeside lights and festivities.
