The 56th Annual GMA Dove Awards illuminated Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena with an unforgettable evening of worship, unity, and truth. Gathering the most celebrated names in Christian music, this year’s ceremony reminded audiences worldwide of the enduring power of faith-filled artistry—music that not only uplifts but also points hearts toward God.

Brandon Lake led the night with five major wins, including Songwriter of the Year and Song of the Year for “Hard Fought Hallelujah,” a heartfelt collaboration with Jelly Roll. Their moving performance, joined by Grammy-winner Jon Batiste, brought the crowd to its feet, blending raw honesty with a message of redemption. “Millions of lives have been saved,” Lake said, thanking Jelly Roll for “sticking your neck out for me.” Jelly Roll responded with humility, referencing Matthew’s Gospel: “When I was hungry, you fed me. When I was thirsty… you took time with me. That’s why I’m here.”

From start to finish, the ceremony underscored a single theme—people are hungry for truth. Host Tauren Wells opened with a challenge: “If the spirit of the world is deception, we must fight with truth. The Church at its best is a family.” His words resonated deeply as artists across genres—worship, gospel, country, hip-hop, and Latin—took the stage to proclaim the hope of the Gospel.

Forrest Frank, one of Christian pop’s fastest-rising voices, was named Artist of the Year, winning additional honors for Child of God and “YOUR WAY’S BETTER.” Yet, in a move that captured attention, Frank chose not to attend, calling salvation “the greatest award of all time.” His absence only amplified the night’s central message—that success in Christian music is measured not by trophies, but by impact.

CeCe Winans, honored for “Come Jesus Come” with Shirley Caesar, reflected on a lifetime of ministry: “We don’t do what we do for this. We do it for Jesus.” Her words, simple yet profound, echoed through the arena. Similarly, Phil Wickham, accepting his award for “The Jesus Way,” quoted Philippians: “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility, value others above yourselves.”

The night’s performances painted a vibrant picture of faith’s global reach. From Elevation Worship’s “I Know a Name” to the powerful Latin medley led by Israel & New Breed, the Dove Awards celebrated unity across languages and styles. In a special nod to tradition, Lady A, Steven Curtis Chapman, and Vince Gill paid tribute to the Grand Ole Opry’s 100th anniversary with a medley of timeless hymns.

As the evening drew to a close, the recurring sentiment among artists was unmistakable: a generation weary of noise is yearning for truth. Leanna Crawford, named New Artist of the Year, summed it up best—“I moved to Nashville to write songs that point people to Jesus. By God’s grace, that’s still my purpose.”

Broadcast exclusively on TBN and SiriusXM’s The Message, the 56th Dove Awards wasn’t just a celebration of music—it was a call to revival. In a world searching for meaning, these artists are proving that the truth of the Gospel still sings loudest of all.
