34-year-old Aaron Carter, who used to be a pop singer and a child star, died at the age of 24. He was found lifeless in his home, inside a bathtub.
There is a statement from authorities yet regarding the cause of death. Big Umbrella, Aaron Carter’s entertainment management company, already confirmed his death via its representative, Taylor Helgeson.
One may recall that he rose to fame in the 2000s, and was a teenage sensation and heartthrob at a young age. Aaron released his debut album as early as age 9 and ‘Aaron’s Party’ at age 12. Nick Carter, who’s a member of the Backstreet Boys, is his older brother.
E! News reported on its website the LA Sheriff’s Department’s press release regarding the unfortunate situation. They said there was a 9-11-call from the resident caretaker, approximately at 11 a.m., which was about a male individual who’s discovered in the bathtub and was unresponsive.
This transpired at Carter’s Palmdale, California home. This is shocking news to all not just because of his young age, but because he would have been 35 on December 7, his birthday. His son Prince with ex Melanie Martin would also turn a year old in 2 weeks, November 22.
Prior to his death, TMZ reported that the 34-year-old singer was pulled over by cops just the previous Tuesday morning, which is three days before Aaron Carter’s death. This was because someone noticed his RV swerving and reported him for reckless driving.
He pass the sobriety test this time and was cleared by officers, unlike in 2017 when he was arrested for DUI (driving under influence), as well as possession of marijuana. Shortly after the incident, Carter posted on Instagram: “When you do the right thing, you don’t get in trouble.”
Do the right thing, that’s what you do.” Carter’s struggle with drug addiction has been ongoing for decades. It can be noted that in September 2022 he became a part of an outpatient rehab program because he lost the custody battle with Melanie Martin for his infant son Prince.
