The highly anticipated “Filipinxt” runway show is poised to revolutionize Philippine fashion on a global scale when it debuts in New York City on May 5, 2024. This monumental event will shine a spotlight on the rich creativity, talent, and cultural heritage of Filipino designers, merging the essence of Manila with the international allure of Manhattan.

With a name that fuses “Filipino,” “next,” and the gender-neutral “-x” suffix, “Filipinxt” symbolizes a progressive and inclusive vision for the future of Philippine fashion.

Leading this initiative are New York-based fashion designer Bessie Besana and restaurateur Rob Mallari-D’Auria, two visionaries with a passion for elevating Filipino artistry on the world stage. Their goal is to create a platform that not only showcases Filipino designers but also positions them within the global fashion market.

“This is the time for Filipino designers and brands to step up, to be on par with New York Fashion Week,” Mallari-D’Auria emphasized.
