Heart has been appointed as the new head of the Senate Spouses Foundation after her husband, Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero, was recently sworn in as Senate President. In an Instagram post last Thursday, May 31, Heart shared some scenes from the meeting she attended with her fellow senators’ spouses.

“Our very first meeting and as they say, coming together is just the beginning. Excited to get down to work!” she captioned.  “Thank you for the warm welcome fellow senate spouses. Ready to honor the challenge of working together and find ways to make our communities better and stronger,” she added.

It can be recalled that Chiz shared that his wife felt a sense of panic and became emotional upon realizing she would be assuming her new role unexpectedly.

The Senate Spouses Foundation in the Philippines is a non-profit organization made up of the spouses of senators. Its mission is to support a range of charitable, socio-civic, and humanitarian projects, with a focus on areas like education, healthcare, and community development.

The foundation frequently holds fundraising events and activities to raise resources for its causes and to aid marginalized communities.
