Jenna Ortega recently hinted that Netflix’s Wednesday Season 2 will, without doubt, be more action-packed compared to its previous season.

During a red carpet interview  with E! Online, Jenna shared that she already received some scripts written for the series and is psyched about the project. Ortega underlined the show will focus on heightened and intense horror elements and she also stressed how thrilled she is on how the show has evolved.

“I’ve received some scripts for the second season, and we’re definitely leaning into more horror. It’s really, really exciting because all throughout the show, Wednesday does need a bit of an arc. She never really changes, and that’s the wonderful thing about her.”

“There’s really, really good one-liners, and I think everything’s bigger. It’s a lot more action-packed. Each episode will probably feel a little bit more like a movie, which is nice,” she added.

The star also told Variety’s Actors on Actors that the upcoming season will no longer emphasize ‘teen love triangle storylines.’ “We’re ditching any romantic love interest for Wednesday, which is really great. We’re going to get bolder, more dark.”

The hit series is set to make a potential comeback this yea or possibly in 2025, due to production delays resulting from Hollywood strikes.
