Often, the separation of partners or spouses is not pleasant, but Jericho Rosales and Kim Jones have proven that they can still be friends even after choosing to go separate ways.

It has been reported that the married couple Jericho Rosales and Kim Jones have finally ended their marriage.

In an exclusive report by ABS-CBN News on Monday, January 29, a close friend of the couple allegedly confirmed the news on the same day. According to Ricco Ocampo, the godfather of the celebrity couple, Jericho and Kim have reportedly been separated since 2019.

Ocampo, who has known them since they began seeing each other, added that despite the split, they have remained very good friends.

He said in a statement, “While the friendship between the two remains, they have decided it is time to lead separate lives. They are encouraging each other to grow, albeit in different directions. It was a mutual decision, an amicable separation, dealt with grace and maturity by both parties.”

“The two are filled with gratitude for the memories they’ve made together and the lessons they’ve learned. They have journeyed through the separation with the utmost respect and care toward one another precisely because Echo and Kim are the best of friends and love each other like family.

“This split is not borne out of ill feelings. On the contrary, one might say that it is a demonstration of their affection and respect, as Echo and Kim only wish the best for each other.”

“They are incredibly grateful for those who have supported them throughout the years, and appreciate the respect of their privacy during this time.”

Indeed, following their collaboration on numerous creative ventures previously, Ocampo indicated that they are currently collaborating on another film. In this project, Jones will serve as the writer, director, and actor, while Rosales will take on the role of producer. The film is scheduled for release later this year. 

Apart from this joint endeavor, both individuals are also engaged in their respective solo projects. Jones is concentrating on writing and filmmaking, while Rosales is preparing for the release of his latest project “Sell Block,” Ocampo elaborated.

Jericho and Kim initially encountered each other in 2011 during a dinner arranged by a mutual acquaintance.

Kim and Jericho publicly appeared together as a couple for the first time on March 12, 2012, during the MYX Music Awards hosted at the Music Museum in Greenhills, San Juan. On August 4, 2013, the actor proposed at the New Life Church located in Alabang. Probably, he got a big yes. 

They officially became Jericho and Kim Rosales in a “laid-back” beach wedding in Boracay, Aklan, May 1, 2014. 

In September 2022, rumors about Kim and Jericho’s separation began circulating.

However, Kim dispelled the rumor by sharing photos of Jericho on Instagram to celebrate her husband’s birthday. Kim and Jericho appeared to be a closely bonded couple when they attended the ABS-CBN Ball in September 2023.

On January 12, 2024, Jericho was questioned by the media regarding his response to the ongoing rumors surrounding his and Kim’s separation, because of Ogie Diaz’ blind item and showbiz report on his vlog “Ogie Diaz Showbiz Update.”

Jericho said they were happy, fantastic, and great but opted not to disclose any details about his relationship with Kim.
