Actor Chris Pratt recently took a moment to honor his son’s milestone birthday while giving glory to God in a heartfelt social media post. On August 17, Pratt celebrated his firstborn Jack’s 13th birthday, sharing both photos and words that revealed the depth of his love and faith.

“I have a teenager???” Pratt wrote alongside snapshots of his son. “Jack, I can’t believe you are 13 today. I’ve watched you grow into such an incredible young man, and am truly proud of the person you are becoming.” The post concluded with a faithful declaration: “Jesus is King!”

Pratt’s message went beyond the typical birthday greeting. It reflected a journey of Christian faith shaped by life’s challenges. Jack, born seven weeks premature in 2012 at just 3 pounds, 10 ounces, spent several weeks in the neonatal intensive care unit. Looking back on those early days, Pratt has openly shared how they strengthened his spiritual life.

“He had all of these issues going on,” Pratt told The Christian Post earlier this year. “I prayed hard to God. I was in a season of transition spiritually at that time, and didn’t quite fully understand. I made a deal with God again: ‘I’m sorry, God, here I am again, asking for your grace again.’ And He really saved my son, and that was the moment [my faith] was cemented. My heart softened, and my faith hardened.”

The actor’s public celebration of his son’s birthday is also a reflection of his growing commitment to his Christian faith. Pratt has emphasized that sharing his spiritual journey is now an essential part of his life. “Moving forward, I’m going to give my platform to God,” he said, highlighting the intentionality behind his social media posts and public statements.

In recent years, Pratt has increasingly spoken about the importance of taking a stand for his beliefs. He told The Christian Post that he feels a calling to share the truth about Jesus, even if doing so comes with personal or professional challenges. “I care enough about Jesus to take a stand, even if it cost me,” Pratt said. “It could cost me everything, but I don’t care. It’s worth it to me because this is what I’m called to do, it’s where my heart is.”

Fans and followers quickly responded to the post with messages of support, congratulating Jack while also expressing admiration for Pratt’s open faith. The actor’s heartfelt words serve as a reminder that personal milestones—especially those involving family—can be powerful moments to honor God.

Chris Pratt’s message to his son underscores a simple yet profound truth: that life’s celebrations are intertwined with gratitude, faith, and love. By declaring “Jesus is King,” Pratt not only marks his son’s transition into adolescence but also reaffirms the values that have guided his family through challenges and triumphs alike.
