BEIJING, Nov. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Since the start of this year, overseas orders for recreational vehicles (RVs) produced in Rongcheng City of Shandong Province, east China have been on the rise, making the locality a star exporter of made-in-China RVs.
In the first half of 2026, the city exported 1.06 billion yuan of RVs, up 21 percent year on year and accounting for 87.6 percent and over 55 percent of the comparable provincial and national totals.
After years of preferential policy support and resource pooling, Rongcheng now boasts mature industrial parks for RV and related parts production, which has fostered local RV industrial clustering.
Currently, Rongcheng is home to eight large RV manufacturers and more than 50 component producers and is capable of producing RVs including self-propelled, towable, campsite and tent-style ones.
Owning a complete RV industrial chain that integrates R&D, intelligent manufacturing and branding, the coastal city strengthens its presence at home and abroad with highly efficient full-chain collaboration.
In Rongcheng, the entire process of producing an RV, from component supply to final assembly, can be completed by local whole vehicle makers and their partners located in nearby areas within 50 kilometers.
Apart from these, product differentiation holds the key for Rongcheng RVs to capture global market share.
To meet varied overseas demands, local RV enterprises have abandoned the “one-size-fits-all approach” in exploring overseas markets and adhered to localization and customization to delve deeper into the overseas markets.
Such eye-catching export of RVs is inseparable from the city’s supportive mechanisms for local RV enterprises.
For instance, the enterprise steward service center of Rongcheng Economic Development Zone can offer full-process agency services including project approval and financial resource matching to help resolve practical troubles in production and operation.
The city’s public infrastructure, such as shared electroplating workshops, also effectively cuts equipment investment costs for local small RV enterprises, enabling them to go further in overseas market expansion.
