ZHONGSHAN, China, Oct. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Connecting the global lighting industry, the 2026 China (Guzhen) International Lighting Fair (Autumn) concluded successfully after a four-day run from October 22 to 25, 2026.
Retaining the theme “Guzhen Lights up the World,” this year’s fair focused on industry expertise, market needs, and international reach. Product showcases, supporting events, and business matchmaking helped manufacturers and buyers close deals, demonstrating the strength of its international exhibition and trading network and its appeal as a global sourcing platform.
Buyers Gather from Around the World as the Fair Helps Businesses Close Deals
By the time the main venue closed at 1 p.m. on October 25, it had recorded nearly 60,000 visits by trade professionals.
Overseas attendance reached a record 5,020 visitors, up 3.44% from the autumn 2025 fair, with professional buyers arriving from 141 countries and regions. South Asia recorded strong growth, particularly in the number of buyers from Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Attendance from the Americas was also strong, with substantial increases in buyers from the United States and Brazil. This high-quality international turnout reflected the global lighting industry’s confidence in the Chinese market and reinforced the Guzhen Lighting Fair’s position as a major platform for global lighting trade.
Throughout the fair, exhibitors and buyers from around the world filled the halls, browsing products, discussing business, and placing orders in a lively trading atmosphere.
More than 200 general-interest and trade media outlets and digital content creators covered the fair through news reports, interviews, short videos, and interactive livestreams.
Three National-Level Endorsements Reinforce International Standing
The Guzhen Lighting Fair is a major national-level international exhibition approved by China’s Ministry of Commerce and certified by UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry.
This year, the fair was included in the list of key events for the 2026 National Tour of Famous Consumer Products, a joint initiative of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. It was the only major annual trade event selected from the lighting industry. The fair was also included in the Guangdong Department of Commerce’s “Guangdong Trade Nationwide” event catalog.
This recognition highlights the strengths and international influence of Guzhen’s lighting industry and marks an important step in helping the sector expand its global reach and pursue higher-quality growth.
A Redesigned Main Venue Showcases the Full Industry Chain and Three Key Trends
The main venue brought together 1,005 leading brands. All seven halls were upgraded, each with a distinct theme and its own features.
Hall A, Urban Lighting and Smart Engineering, focused on smart and project lighting. Hall B, Interior and Commercial Lighting, brought together decorative fixtures, residential lighting, and commercial lighting. Hall C, Outdoor and Special Lighting, covered outdoor lighting, illumination for cultural and tourism attractions, and specialized fixtures.
Halls D and E, Lighting Manufacturing and Supply-Chains, covered machinery, ancillary materials, components, and support services. Hall F, Smart Home and Living Decor, combined smart home products with interior furnishings and accessories. Hall H, New Brands and Cross-Border Sourcing, offered buyers a one-stop sourcing destination.
The fair highlighted three key industry trends. AI integration featured lighting systems controlled by large AI models, creating immersive lighting that responds to people’s movements. Health-focused lighting included classroom solutions designed to meet the new national standards, as well as human-centric and age-friendly lighting products. Green, low-carbon development was represented by energy-efficient technologies, photovoltaic and energy storage applications, and environmentally friendly materials.
By bringing together diverse resources, shared platforms, and complementary product categories, the halls fostered connections across the supply chain and collaboration within the industry. Individual companies’ strengths became collective advantages for the industrial cluster, offering global buyers a one-stop sourcing experience.
Competing on Value: A Thousand Companies Showcase Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative Offerings
Tens of thousands of specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative products, along with cutting-edge technologies, were on display. Together, they illustrated the lighting industry’s growing integration with other sectors and demonstrated the fair’s strengths as a platform for intelligent technologies, digitalization, and innovation.
Companies seized emerging opportunities with new products in AI lighting, original design, photovoltaic power and energy storage, and health-focused lighting. The industry is gradually moving away from broad, unfocused expansion toward deeper expertise in specific market segments and differentiation.
Smart controls are evolving from individual components into complete systems. AI is being incorporated at four levels: power supplies, modules, systems, and spaces. Many power supply manufacturers now offer compatibility with mainstream Internet of Things (IoT) platforms. Finished-product manufacturers are using self-learning AI and millimeter-wave sensing to deliver whole-home smart solutions, while extending their applications to commercial settings such as buildings, chain stores, and parking facilities.
Eye-friendly lighting is moving toward performance criteria that address the needs of all age groups. Leading exhibitors are applying full-spectrum chip-on-board (COB) and soft, anti-glare lighting technologies to ceiling lights, downlights, spotlights, and bathroom heater units. Growing demand for classroom lighting, age-friendly lighting, and lighting for specialist venues is driving a comprehensive service model spanning products, lighting environments, and complete solutions.
The low-carbon new energy sector is entering a new phase that integrates photovoltaics, electricity, and storage. Photovoltaics, energy storage, smart controls, and security monitoring are becoming closely integrated as the industry shifts from standalone products to complete power supply solutions. Operations and maintenance services are emerging as a new source of growth.
Companies continue to refine their production processes, overcome technical barriers, and perfect individual products, using advanced manufacturing expertise to compete in the high-end market.
Five Business Matching Sessions Turn One-on-One Meetings into Deals
The fair organized nine specialist buyer delegations covering six market segments, including smart lighting, decorative lighting, linear lighting, wholesale distribution, and full-range lighting. Corporate executives and decision-makers were specifically invited to attend with purchasing plans.
The organizers also worked with overseas buyer delegations, industry associations, media outlets, and influencer groups to create an efficient sourcing network that connected domestic and international markets, matched buyers with suitable suppliers, and shared resources online and on-site.
The flagship Hosted Buyer Program received a major upgrade. Five “Denggle.com” Business Matching Meetings were held in the business matchmaking area in Hall H, following the established approach of pre-event needs assessments, targeted invitations, and private business discussions during the fair. Covering key markets in Southeast Asia, South Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Africa, the sessions helped buyers and suppliers find the right partners and deepen cooperation.
By helping turn visitor traffic into lasting orders, the fair made its four-day run a starting point for year-round business partnerships.
On October 22, the fair hosted the 35th Guzhen Lighting Fair • Procurement and Supply Information Exchange Dinner and the “Gold Medal Partner” recognition program. The event honored industry leaders, strengthened returning exhibitors’ connection with the fair, and conveyed to global buyers the industry’s commitment to quality and its reputation for reliability.
Five Lighting Forums Bring Fresh Ideas to the Industry
Under the “Chasing Light” industry content series, the fair held five lighting-themed forums over four days. Industry experts, scholars, and business representatives shared in-depth insights on key topics, including industry trends, smart manufacturing, international expansion, and specialized applications.
The five forums were “The 35th Guzhen Lighting Fair • Procurement and Supply Information Exchange Forum,” “2026 Innovation Exchange Forum on Smart Lighting and Green Development,” “Lighting Industry Trends and New Opportunities in Guzhen Exchange Forum,” “Thematic Forum on Healthy Lighting Technology Applications, Age-Friendly Lighting, and Lighting for Cultural Tourism and Homestays,” and “2026 Guangdong (Zhongshan) Lighting New Media Customer Acquisition and Cross-Border Expansion Ecosystem Exchange Forum.”
Spanning broad industry analysis and practical implementation, the five forums supported the industry’s development and made the fair a place to build consensus as well as showcase products.
The autumn and annual results of “Good Lights In Guzhen: 2026 Short-Video & Live Creator Contest” were also announced. The competition has gained momentum since its spring launch, with more than 100 short-video creators sharing content across online platforms. The “Guzhen Lighting Fair” and “Good Lights In Guzhen” campaign topics reached audiences well beyond the industry, attracting more than 76.1 million views combined. Lighting brought Guzhen’s products to the world, while creators’ cameras brought its industry into the global spotlight.
The “Star Scout KOL Fair Tour” brought together industry influencers and local Guzhen lighting content creators for in-depth coverage through short videos and on-site livestreams. By telling the stories behind Guzhen’s lighting industry, they helped build lasting brand visibility for exhibitors, the fair, and the local lighting sector.
The successful close of the four-day fair also marked a new beginning. In 2027, the Guzhen Lighting Fair will offer more opportunities for efficient business matchmaking, continuing to connect buyers and sellers worldwide with business opportunities and support their growth.
