Volt Auto unveiled the all-new Dongfeng VIGO at the Singapore Motorshow 2026, where Dongfeng is the official car sponsor of the event. Marking the brand’s entry into the electric SUV segment, the VIGO is Dongfeng’s first Category A electric SUV, expanding its lineup beyond hatchbacks and sedans to meet the demands of modern urban lifestyles.

Built for daily commutes and weekend adventures, the VIGO offers generous space within a compact footprint. It features a 500-litre boot with a 72 L hidden compartment (one of the biggest in its Category A segment), a 2,715 mm wheelbase, and a class-leading 63% usable space ratio, delivering exceptional roominess at a Category A price point.

Introducing Dongfeng’s first Category A electric SUV, where power meets purpose, combining strong performance, intelligent technology, and everyday practicality

A standout feature is its innovative split tailgate, the “Heaven and Earth Gate,” which supports up to 150 kg and transforms the rear into a functional platform for tailgate picnics, camping, or outdoor activities. Modular storage and load-through capability further enhance everyday practicality.

Inside, the VIGO’s Smart Cockpit is powered by a high-performance chip and anchored by a 12.8-inch HD central display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. Intelligent scene modes: Rest, Camping, and Music Speaker, adapt the cabin environment to different journeys and lifestyles.

Lifestyle and convenience features include a 50W wireless fast-charging pad, 256-colour ambient lighting with music sync, a panoramic sunroof, keyless welcome unlock with electronic door release, and 3.3 kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability for powering outdoor equipment and appliances.

Driving confidence is enhanced with Level 2 advanced driver-assistance systems and a 540° panoramic camera with transparent chassis view, making parking and low-speed manoeuvres intuitive. T-shaped LED headlamps with a 135-metre illumination range further improve visibility and safety.

Cabin refinement is achieved through 37 layers of sound insulation and an ultra-low 18 dB powertrain noise level, complemented by zero-pressure “breathing” seats designed for long-distance comfort.

The VIGO is equipped with a 3C fast-charging battery system supporting up to 167 kW DC charging, enabling an 80% charge in approximately 18 minutes. An intelligent dual-circuit heat-pump thermal management system ensures reliable performance in temperatures ranging from -30°C to +55°C, making the VIGO suitable for both tropical conditions and future travel.

Measuring approximately 4.3 metres in length, the VIGO balances urban agility with a confident SUV stance. Exterior highlights include aerodynamically optimised mirrors refined through 700 wind-tunnel tests, semi-concealed door handles, a hidden rear wing, and distinctive triangular “crystal-tower” taillights.

The Dongfeng VIGO is available at a special Motorshow Promo from 8 to 11 January 2026, priced at S$166,888 (inclusive of COE), with a limited-time offer that includes a 10-year battery warranty and 10 years of servicing. The retail price starts from S$228,888 (inclusive of COE), offering substantial value within the Category A electric SUV segment. As a fully electric vehicle, the VIGO delivers low running and maintenance costs while supporting more sustainable mobility.

Building on the success of the Dongfeng Box in Malaysia, Volt Auto also announced plans to officially launch the Dongfeng 007 sedan and VIGO SUV in Malaysia in Q1 2026, underscoring its commitment to expanding electric mobility solutions across Southeast Asia.

During the Singapore Motorshow 2026, Dongfeng will host a lucky draw offering visitors a chance to win a Dongfeng Box. Participation requires the purchase of a Motorshow admission ticket and submission of the official lucky draw form at Level 6 before 8:00 pm on 11 January 2026. One winner will be drawn at 9:00 pm on the final day. Visitors may earn one additional entry by completing a social media sharing activity at the Dongfeng booth using the hashtag #DongfengMotorShow2026 and tagging Dongfeng on social media.

The Dongfeng VIGO will be showcased at Booth 6218, Suntec Convention Centre, Level 6, from 8 to 11 January 2026, along with the preview of upcoming models, including the Dongfeng 008, Voyah Dream, and MHERO 2. Test drives available now through Volt Auto at 1 Tai Seng Ave, #01-23/24 Tai Seng Exchange, Singapore 536464.
