When Broadway went dark in 2021, Peabody Award winner Al Tapper didn’t wait for the lights to come back on—he built his own stage. Today, AMT Theater at 354 West 45th Street is the beating heart of Off-Broadway’s most daring new works. We are thrilled to invite you to our most provocative production yet: “THE PAPARAZZI.”
THE STORY
Follow Christie Barnes, a wide-eyed dreamer from Kansas with big plans for “serious” journalism. But when the only door that opens is at the notorious New York Beacon, she finds herself seduced by the high-stakes, adrenaline-fueled world of celebrity obsession.
It’s a sharp-witted, contemporary musical about ambition, ethics, and what happens when the life you lead finally catches up to the lens.
