The Twilight Saga Will Finally Get Its Own TV Series

Twilight fans are elated regarding the news of the hit vampire sage finally making a comeback as a TV series.
The show is expected to be released via Lionsgate TV, however, there are no further details as to who the cast members are and what the plot would be. It is reported that the studio is now searching for a screenwriter.
One may recalle that 2008 marked the start of the Twilight Saga film adaptation based on the books of Stephenie Meyer under Catherine Hardwicke’s direction. The news of the adaptation was first reported by deadline, who stated that the production of the project is at an early stage. The book author is said to be part of the development team as well.

The Twilight Saga movies starred Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner and were released from 2008 to 2012, where the gross revenue of the film totalled to more than $3.4 billion. The fantasy saga tells the story of a 17-year-old girl named Bella, who falls in love with a mysterious classmate, Edward Cullen, a vampire.
Meyer also made an appearance in the film, a cameo in the coffee shop when Bella meets another character.
Presently, Stewart and Pattinson are still very much active in Hollywood. Stewart’s recent relevant projects include Charlie’s Angels (2019 and Spencer 2020). Pattinson, on the other hand, took on the mantle of the caped crusader in Matt Reeves’ superhero film The Batman (2022), and portrayed roles outside of his heartthrob image in the last decade in The Lost City of Z (2016), High Life (2018), The Lighthouse (2019), and Tenet (2020).
The vampire romance series made Meyer the bestselling author of 2008 and 2009 in the U.S. In 2008, she sold over 29 million books, while she sold over 26.5 million books in 2009.
