Audiences can expect a thrilling journey as the story of Liam and Joyce comes to an end in the heart-stopping finale of the romantic drama series The Write One on May 25th.
With days of suspense, drama, and action leading up to the climax, the show will culminate with a series of scenes filmed in the city of love itself – Paris. “The Write One” marks the first project together for Kapuso homegrown stars and Sparkle stars Ruru Madrid and Bianca Umali, who bring Liam and Joyce/Savanna to life. Fellow Sparkle artists Mikee Quintos and Paul Salas further add to the drama by playing Via and Hans respectively.
A Dream in Paris Turns into Reality
The last week of the magical typewriter’s appearance will once again hold a significant impact on the characters’ lives. With changes being made to timelines not only by Liam but also by Via and Joyce, what will happen to Liam and Joyce? Will they be able to reignite their love and become each other’s soulmate?
In the romantic city of Paris, Liam and Joyce cross paths. Will this symbolic city provide them with the opportunity to rekindle their lost love, or will their story end on a bittersweet note? The Write One is the first-ever drama produced by GMA Public Affairs with scenes filmed outside of the Philippines. Fans can look forward to seeing Liam and Joyce in various Parisian landmarks, including the iconic Eiffel Tower.
The RuCa couple confesses that going to Paris had always been their dream. “Pangarap naman talaga namin makapunta dun at nasuwertehan lang namin na magkasama kami,” Ruru said.
During their shoot, the two Kapuso stars showcased their acting skills, attracting the attention of tourists and locals alike. One particular emotional scene received praise from onlookers.
“After nung eksena, pumalakpak silang lahat. Sobrang nakakatuwa na sinabi nilang kahit hindi nila naiintindihan ‘yung mga sinasabi namin pero naramdaman daw nila ‘yung eksena,” shared Ruru.
Thankful
Ruru and Bianca, who are both thrilled and dejected that the series is almost finished, are extremely grateful to their supporters for the glory of the “The Write One”.
The actor shares: “I will always be grateful to GMA Network, especially to GMA Public Affairs, and to Viu Philippines for giving me this chance to be part of ‘The Write One.’ In portraying Liam, I have grown further as an actor and as a person. I would also like to thank my co-actors who made each day memorable. To all the viewers who rooted for Liam as he explored the alternate timeline and returned to the real timeline – thank you. The success of this series is because of you.”
“It’s no secret that ‘The Write One’ is a very special project for me. Giving life to Joyce and Savanna was very challenging since they are almost totally different persons. This series taught me a lot about myself and about life,” said Bianca. “While this is the very first time I get to share the screen with Ruru as his love interest, I enjoyed every part of this show because I was also with Mikee and Paul and all these great actors and the production team who helped build the story from day one,” she added.
Mikee and Paul expressed their gratitude for being part of ‘The Write One.’
“I really enjoyed playing Via because her character had many layers. Thank you to everyone who supported our show. We hope you stay with us until the very end because there are a lot of twists that will leave you at the edge of your seats,” said Mikee.
“As Hans in the series, I got to discover more about my acting skills,” says Paul. “Thank you for loving Hans and for making ‘The Write One’ part of your viewing habit. We look forward to sharing with you the finale of this series.”
The show centers on Liam, a writer who gets an opportunity to rewrite his love story and life with the help of a mysterious typewriter. Despite his attempts to correct his mistakes in his love story with Joyce, Liam ends up complicating things further. Since its pilot episode last March, ‘The Write One’ has garnered praise for its captivating storyline, impressive cinematography, heartfelt music and original soundtrack, and relatable lines from each episode.
The outstanding performances of the cast, which includes veteran actors Lotlot De Leon, Ramon Christopher, Mon Confiado, Alma Concepcion, and Art Acuna, and Sparkle artists Kokoy De Santos, Royce Cabrera, Kaloy Tingcungco, Analyn Barro, Yvette Sanchez, and Euwenn Mikaell Aleta have also been lauded by viewers.
