For many, Sundays mean game days or streaming marathons. But for Tyler Blevins — better known as “Ninja” — Sundays have taken on a new meaning. The world-renowned video game streamer is now dedicating his weekends to something far deeper than digital battles: his faith.

The 34-year-old, who rose to fame for his fast-paced Fortnite plays and vibrant online personality, recently opened up to his millions of fans about a significant change in his lifestyle. “Jess and I are going through this journey,” he shared during a livestream, “where our relationship with God and Jesus is growing. We’re going to church every Sunday.”

Known for his energy and entertainment value, Blevins is now channeling that passion into spiritual growth. His viewers were quick to respond with encouragement. “Ninja giving his life to God is the biggest streamer glow-up ever,” one follower commented. Ninja, with humility, simply replied, “Thank you. Kinda hard to even think about my time when I wasn’t.”

It’s not just about attending church — it’s about a full transformation. In recent months, Blevins has been transparent about struggles with anger, hypocrisy, and toxic online environments. “I find myself being hypocritical a lot,” he admitted. “That’s not who I want to be anymore.”

He made headlines earlier this year when he stepped away from the game Marvel Rivals, citing the negativity of the community. “I don’t want to roast people back. It’s easier, but I don’t want to do that anymore,” he said. That decision marked a turning point in how he manages conflict and criticism.

While some may view these changes as a departure from the edgy persona that once defined him, Blevins sees it differently. “I’m just trying to be a better person, dude,” he said. “Trying to walk the walk and not just talk the talk.”

The gaming icon isn’t new to the idea of personal boundaries. In a 2018 interview, he famously spoke about avoiding one-on-one streams with female gamers out of respect for his marriage — a decision he framed around honoring his wife and protecting their relationship. That same sense of discipline now appears to be shaping his spiritual path.

Daily prayer, time with loved ones, and a commitment to rest have become key parts of his routine. “I take breaks quite often,” he said. “I spend time with the people I love, and that helps reset my mindset.”

Blevins has also credited his mom — who rejected medical advice to abort him — as a foundational figure in his belief that “God has a plan.” Now, that belief is becoming a lived-out reality.

Whether streaming a new Fortnite season or speaking candidly about faith, Ninja’s message is clear: he’s not preaching, he’s living. And for Tyler Blevins, that starts with showing up every Sunday — not just in-game, but in God’s house.
