Donald Trump, who was inaugurated as the 47th president of the United States, has made waves in Hollywood by appointing Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone as his “special envoys” to the industry. As part of his latest initiative, the president-elect declared that the trio of actors should now be referred to as “Mr. Ambassador,” a title that recognizes their new roles in reshaping the entertainment landscape.

During his speech at the “Make America Great Again” Victory Rally in Washington D.C. on Sunday, January 19, Trump made the announcement to a crowd of supporters. He introduced Voight, Gibson, and Stallone as pivotal figures in his plans to revive Hollywood, which he described as a “troubled” industry in recent years.

The appointment is part of Trump’s broader agenda to bring Hollywood back to its “Golden Age,” aiming to counteract the significant shift in film production and distribution over the past decade.

Hollywood has seen a decline in U.S.-made productions as films have increasingly been outsourced to foreign markets, particularly with the rise of international film hubs. Trump’s vision for the three ambassadors, who are all Christians, is to act as his “eyes and ears,” offering advice and driving efforts to revitalize the industry and strengthen its ties to American values.

In his announcement on Truth Social, Trump elaborated on the roles, writing, “It is my honor to announce Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone, to be Special Ambassadors to a great but very troubled place, Hollywood, California. They will serve as Special Envoys to me for the purpose of bringing Hollywood, which has lost much business over the last four years to Foreign Countries, BACK — BIGGER, BETTER, AND STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE!”

Voight, a legendary actor with decades of experience in Hollywood, expressed his support for Trump’s re-election during the rally. The 86-year-old star praised Trump for his unwavering commitment to the American people and his vision for the country.

Mel Gibson, who has long been known for his outspoken views, admitted to being surprised by the appointment but said he would “heed the call.” He added, “My duty as a citizen is to give any help and insight I can.”

Meanwhile, Sylvester Stallone, another stalwart of the Hollywood action genre, joined in praising the move. The actor, best known for his roles in the Rocky and Rambo franchises, expressed optimism that with Trump’s guidance, Hollywood would regain its former glory and continue to thrive on a global scale.

This unexpected alliance between the former president and these prominent figures in the entertainment world signifies a bold new chapter in Hollywood’s future. With their unique perspective and dedication to the cause, Voight, Gibson, and Stallone are poised to play a pivotal role in transforming the industry and reinvigorating American film production. As Trump embarks on his second term, the partnership with these actors will surely be an intriguing development to watch in the years ahead.
