UFC Fighter Rampage Jackson Saw Jesus – Here’s What Happened

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson is known for his explosive fighting style, bold personality, and legendary career in MMA. But behind the scenes of championships and knockouts lies a lesser-known story — one of personal transformation and a life-changing spiritual experience.
In an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience, Rampage opened up about the moment he says he met Jesus — a profound encounter that radically shifted his mindset.
The story begins during a turbulent time in his life. Rampage had recently gained full custody of his young son while still fighting in Japan and living the high life. As his fame soared, so did his temptations.
He found himself partying and drinking more often, and though he never became an alcoholic, he admits he began craving alcohol — something he hated due to his father’s past addiction.
Then, one night, he had a terrifying dream. He saw what he described as the devil with his hands in his chest, surrounded by strange female spirits, whispering that “everything was okay.”
But then, a voice cut through the noise and asked, “Do you know this man?” When Rampage responded no, the voice said, “Then it’s not okay.” That moment jolted him awake, and he was deeply disturbed.
But the story didn’t end there. His young son, who was only three at the time, also had a strange dream that night. When Rampage woke him up, the boy said he dreamt that God and the devil were fighting — and that God struck the devil with a sword.
As the boy woke, Rampage witnessed what he described as a purge: a white pus-like substance came out of his son’s mouth. It shook him to the core.
Later that day, a bizarre coincidence made things even stranger. As he turned on his car radio, a voice blared: “Your soul is mine.” Terrified, he immediately shut it off. It turned out to be a theme park commercial for Revenge of the Mummy, but in that moment, Rampage thought it was a spiritual attack.
That night, too scared to sleep alone, he stayed at a friend’s house with his son. Rampage was so frightened that he considered wetting the bed and blaming it on his child — anything to avoid going to the dark bathroom alone. Then, he remembered something his father, who had become a Christian, once told him: if you’re in trouble, pray in Jesus’ name.
So he prayed: “God, I’m a coward right now. Please take this fear from me. In Jesus’ name, I love You. Amen.” Within minutes, something powerful happened. He began laughing and crying at the same time. He says he received the Holy Spirit and was instantly freed from fear. He got up, used the bathroom, and felt completely different. His eyes, his heart, his thoughts — everything had changed.
That night marked the beginning of Rampage Jackson’s journey of faith. It was also the first day of his training camp for his rematch against Wanderlei Silva. Though the experience brought new challenges, including the confusion of balancing aggression with his new Christian faith, Rampage never forgot the night he encountered Jesus.
