In the memories of netizens, especially their fans and supporters, the reunion and photo opportunity of Heart Evangelista and Jericho Rosales at Zion Philippines’ third anniversary in which they both attended, are being reminisced.

Although the former couple and on-screen partners in the ABS-CBN fantasy-action series version of “Panday” in 2005 are now both married to different people, their recent meeting brought back nostalgic sentiments. This event also marked their last project together before Heart permanently transferred to GMA Network.

Many witnessed the ex-couple exchanging kisses at the mentioned event held at Solaire Resort on January 12. Heart is an endorser of the mentioned brand, while Echo was invited to perform.

The fashionable Kapuso icon showcased her opulent beauty by donning a Giambattista Valli outfit paired with exquisite Bulgari jewelry, including the Serpenti Tubogas. She also participated in the onstage festivities with the event’s host and friend, Tim Yap.

Heart was questioned about her response to Jericho’s Instagram stories that gained attention last week. In these stories, he went as far as tagging her in posts featuring the paper dolls. In a no longer available Instagram story, Jericho found old paper dolls depicting himself and Heart, inspired by their characters in Panday, and he found it quite entertaining.

“Si Heart nga ‘to, katawan ba ni Heart yan? Parang dinikit lang eh, pero at least, dati pa nasa fashion na siya. Oh, di ba? Hi, Heart!” it can be read in the text caption.

Heart mentioned that she and Echo are good friends and that several years have passed since their romantic involvement. “We’re good friends. I heard that he’ll be here tonight. Ahh, it’s a surprise pala!” said Heart. 

Currently, Heart is married to Sen. Chiz Escudero, while Jericho is described as “fantastic” and “great” in the company of Kim Jones, as they addressed press inquiries about breakup rumors.

Following their separation in 2008, the two celebrities have been observed in public together on two occasions. The initial instance occurred in November 2017 at a Rimowa luggage brand event, and the second took place in March of the previous year during a reunion arranged for Johnny Manahan’s original Star Magic babies, well-known as Mr. M.

Heart Evangelista disclosed in an interview the true reason behind her 2008 breakup with Jericho Rosales, whom she regards as her “greatest love.” In a one-on-one interview with Yes magazine for its May 2013 edition, Evangelista shared that her parents led her to believe that Rosales had cheated on her with Malaysian actress Carmen Soo.

During that period, Evangelista had recently patched things up with her parents, having not spoken to them for three years due to her defending her relationship with Rosales. She mentioned that her parents disapproved of Jericho as her beau because he already had a child from a previous relationship.

“I didn’t see them for three years at that time and I missed them so much. And I was also going though a lot, I was struggling with life. I was confused. Although I was happy, it was hard to be happy in one area and everything else seems like it’s falling apart. But the moment I got back with them, naging okay kami,” she said.

“When they said that he was cheating on me with Carmen Soo, I really did think that he was. I really thought that he cheated on me. I really did.. I was convinced,” she added.
