This spring, Versace’s Resort 2025 capsule, La Vacanza, made a glamorous entrance into the spotlight with a star-studded cocktail party hosted by Moda Operandi and Donatella Versace herself. Held on the rooftop of the private members’ club The Twenty Two in New York City, the event drew a dazzling crowd of fashion insiders and A-listers.

Donatella Versace arrived in signature style, stepping out of a black SUV in a vibrant pink pantsuit, embodying the spirit of the new collection—confident, bright, and unmistakably Versace. The evening marked more than just a product launch; it was Donatella’s first major public appearance since the announcement of Versace’s acquisition by the Prada Group.

Amid warm embraces and celebratory cheers, she was joined by Moda Operandi cofounder Lauren Santo Domingo, who co-hosted the gathering.

The La Vacanza capsule, now available for pre-order through Moda Operandi, is a celebration of freedom and glamour. Set against a backdrop of poolside ease and Mediterranean flair, the collection combines shimmering fabrics, bold silhouettes, and vibrant accessories perfect for the resort season.

It also stars Grammy-winning artist Sabrina Carpenter, who fronts the campaign in a series of visuals shot by acclaimed photographer Carlijn Jacobs. Carpenter is shown reclining by a sun-drenched pool, dressed in a dazzling silver sequin dress and an elegant silk set, capturing the carefree essence of luxury vacation style.

A highlight of the collection is the new Tag Bowling shoulder bag, featured prominently in the campaign. Available in 11 colorways, the bag makes a strong statement with its structured silhouette and metallic accents. The design debuted in late 2024 and has quickly become a coveted staple among fashion followers.

Carpenter, present at the event in a striking Versace safety-pin dress, expressed her admiration for the brand. “I have always felt empowered when wearing Versace,” she shared. “This collection feels so free and exciting—it’s truly what fashion should be.”

Also in attendance was Anne Hathaway, who mingled effortlessly among the guests, lending Hollywood gravitas to the event. Hathaway, ever a style icon, wore a sleek ensemble that mirrored the collection’s blend of modern tailoring and classic glamour.

Guests sipped Negronis and sampled caviar-topped blinis while overlooking the city skyline—a fitting setting for an evening devoted to the elegance and vibrancy of Italian fashion.

Additional guests included Ariana DeBose, Laura Harrier, Nicky Hilton Rothschild, and stylist Lorenzo Posocco, who called Donatella “the queen of glamour.” The rooftop soirée followed Donatella’s private birthday celebration the night before, extending the festive spirit with even more sparkle.

From the shimmering designs to the curated guest list, Versace’s La Vacanza launch was more than a party—it was a bold statement that the house continues to lead with style, vision, and timeless allure.
