What Is Papaian Studios and What Does It Do?

Christianity media company Papaian Studios is newly formed with a clear and meaningful mission: to create and support projects that illuminate faith, inspire hope, and positively impact culture. In a world filled with entertainment that often distracts from spiritual truth, Papaian Studios seeks to use modern creativity and technology to point hearts back to Jesus Christ.

The studio’s inaugural project is both ambitious and deeply inspiring: “The Shroud of Turin: An Immersive Experience,” opening at the Christ Cathedral campus in Garden Grove. This groundbreaking museum is dedicated to one of the most studied and debated artifacts in human history—the Shroud of Turin, believed by many to be the burial cloth of Jesus of Nazareth.

Papaian Studios partnered with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange and Othonia Inc., a Rome-based organization devoted to studying and sharing information about the Shroud. Together, they have created a 10,000-square-foot immersive exhibition that blends history, faith, scientific research, and artistic storytelling. Visitors are taken on a 90-minute journey through the life, death, Resurrection, and burial of Christ.

What makes Papaian Studios unique is its commitment to evangelization through experience. The museum features 360-degree projection theaters, interactive kiosks, life-size replicas, new artwork, and a powerful re-creation of the resurrection. Guests are invited not only to observe but to reflect, question, and encounter the Gospel message in a memorable way.

The exhibition is divided into sections that explain who Jesus is and what the Shroud represents, followed by deeper exploration into the evidence and history surrounding it. Visitors are encouraged to examine and explore, much like the early disciples who first encountered the empty tomb, asking questions and seeking understanding.

Papaian Studios is not simply creating a museum—it is helping believers and seekers engage with the reality of Christ’s Passion. The Shroud’s imagery reflects the suffering of the crucifixion, while the immersive storytelling emphasizes hope and victory through the resurrection. As leaders involved in the project have shared, the goal is not only to present an artifact, but to show that faith rests on something far greater than history alone.

By combining faith, scholarship, and immersive media, Papaian Studios is offering a fresh tool for sharing the story of Jesus with the next generation. Their work reminds us that Christian belief is rooted in real events that continue to transform lives today.

Papaian Studios exists to shine light on Christ and to help others wrestle with the question at the heart of the exhibit: Who is the man of the Shroud? For Christians, the answer leads not to fascination with relics, but to deeper awe and worship of the risen Savior Himself.
