Faith and entertainment find a powerful convergence this fall as Wonder Project launches a new Bible-based streaming channel on Amazon Prime Video. This premium subscription will deliver over 1,000 hours of curated, faith-affirming content designed to inspire, uplift, and connect viewers of all ages.
Backed by Amazon and founded by Kelly Merryman Hoogstraten and Jon Erwin, Wonder Project is carving out a distinctive place in the streaming landscape. The platformâs mission is clear: to provide values-driven programming that restores faith in truth, hope, and courage.
From exclusive originals to classic family-friendly titles, the Wonder Project promises a viewing experience that encourages co-watching and meaningful conversations in homes across the U.S.
Among the most anticipated releases is House of David Season 2, a biblical drama that captivated over 40 million viewers worldwide during its first season run. Shot in Greece, the show’s cinematic scale and storytelling earned it a spot among Prime Videoâs top 10 new series. The upcoming season will premiere exclusively on the Wonder Project channel before its general release on Prime Video, offering early access to subscribers eager for fresh, biblically rooted content.
âGreat films and TV shows bring families, friends and communities together,â said CEO Hoogstraten. âThis platform is for those who want stories that speak to the soul.â She added that the service will clearly label content to help families make informed viewing choices, reinforcing the companyâs commitment to a safe and enriching entertainment experience.
The Wonder Project was born from a bold vision. âThe success of âThe Chosenâ and âJesus Revolutionâ showed us the audience is ready,â said co-founder Erwin. âNow we have a chance to dream even biggerâto build a studio that empowers storytellers and honors faith without compromise.â With $75 million in early funding from partners like Lionsgate and Sovereignâs Capital, the studio is poised to expand rapidly.
Beyond House of David, Wonder Projectâs upcoming lineup includes Sarahâs Oil (in theaters Nov. 7), The Breadwinner starring Nate Bargatze, and Itâs Not Like That, a drama series with Amazon MGM Studios.
Other titles in development include Flyer, a Wright brothers feature, and Young Washington, a biopic created with Angel Studios. Each project reflects Wonder Projectâs dedication to content that is both entertaining and edifying.
Advised by The Chosen director Dallas Jenkins, Wonder Project sees itself not just as a content provider but as a movement. âWeâre creating the kind of stories I want in my own home,â Erwin said. âThereâs a hunger for something real, something that stirs the heart and reflects eternal truths.â
This fall, Wonder Project invites viewers to rediscover faith through storytellingâstreamed straight into their living rooms.
