Tuesday marked the comeback of the Golden Globes 2023 to Beverly Hills’ Beverly Hilton, and there are various red carpet looks to fawn upon. Here are 10 stars (in alphabetical order) sporting looks which caught our eye.
1. Anya Taylor Joy in Dior and Tiffany Co.
‘The Queen’s Gambit’ and ‘The Menu’ star looks effortlessly sleek and statuetesque in this limoncello Dior ensemble which reveals just right amount of skin. Make-up artist Georgie Eisdell used Dior Beauty products to capture the 90’s supermodel vibe they’re going for. Anya’s smoldering matte eye definitely nailed that look.
2. Daisy Edgar Jones in Gucci
Who says the ‘underwear as outerwear’ trend can’t be worn on events such as this which has the world looking on? The 24-year-old lead actress of the upcoming Carole King biopic stuns with the dominantly structured black bodice which has multi-tiered lace skirt bottom.
3. Jenna Ortega in Gucci and Tiffany Co.
Sporting a wolf cut hair, Jenna’s dramatic look is light years away from her character Wedneday‘s. Her smoky-rose colored pleated gown goes well with the look envisioned by makeup artist Vincent Oquendo, who wants to channel Sophia Loren through her.
4. Jennifer Hudson in CD Greene and Pomellato
Literally golden, Jennifer’s metallic gown which perfectly hugs her large frame is hard to look away from. The 41-year-old presented the Best Supporting Actor Award while sporting the attire laden with golden sequins by CD Greene, who’s based in New York. Her smoky eyeshadow and up do scream retro.
5. Jessica Chastain in Oscar de la Renta
Elizabeth Stewart, who styled the ‘The Good Nurse’ and ‘Zero Dark Thirty Star’, took to Instagram to thank the dress’ tailor, Orsolina Garcia. She revealed that the captivating spiderweb-looking dress was just finished that noon. Jessica is a believer of bold fashion so she also made a splash previously at the Milan fashion week, the Ralph Lauren fashion show, and the Academy Museum Gala.
6. Julia Garner in Gucci
The actress who took home the Best Supporting Actress award for her role as Ruth Langmore in Ozark look whimsical and delicate on the red carpet unlike her character. While Ruth would never be caught dead wearing ballerina pink, Julia looks like a pixie straight out of a fairytale in that pink gown with a shimmering bustier.
7. Letitia Wright in Prada and Bulgari
The Black Panther actress looks fierce and fashionable in ombre shades in her dual-toned silk dress. Her bright orange stilletos complete her posh but strong and independent female vibe.
8. Li Jun Li in Dolce and Gabanna
The ‘Babylon’ star in the captivating silver ensemble. Her classic glam look is accentuated by her Le Vian jewelry, Marli choker, a Jimmy Choo accessory which serves as both a clutch and a purse.
9. Liza Koshy in Morphew Atelier
Her exposed thong is certainly eye-catching and daring, but even so, her style is still within the confines of class, not crass. The vintage Dior necklace she’s rocking matched well with the vintage-inspired lacy and beaded black dress.
10. Natasha Lyonne in Givenchy
Gothic glam is one of the dominant trends in the Golden Globes 2023 red carpet looks and who better to rock it than the ‘Russian Doll’ and ‘Orange is the New Black’ actress. Her stylist Cristina Ehrlich really puts her best foot forward when conceptualizing Natasha’s looks and it shows. The David Webb jewels as well as the platform Stuart
Weitzman heels pair well with the dress that hugs Natasha’s body so well, but the opera gloves are the best accessories on her.
