After 6 Years, Kim Kardashian Celebrates Law School Graduation

Kim Kardashian has officially graduated from her legal apprenticeship program, marking a major milestone in her journey to becoming a lawyer. In a celebratory Instagram post, she shared, “I finally graduated law school after 6 years!!!” alongside videos from her intimate backyard commencement ceremony.
Since beginning her legal studies in 2018, Kardashian has balanced an intense schedule of studying, business ventures, parenting, and media appearances — all while navigating an unconventional path to legal practice in California.
Kim’s graduation wasn’t held in a conventional school setting but was instead a private backyard celebration that still carried the full weight of her accomplishment.
Dressed in a beige graduation cap paired with a sleek, cream-colored dress, Kim radiated elegance and pride as she stood in front of a lucite podium for speeches and photos. The Beverly Hills Hotel served as the backdrop to her intimate event, attended by close family and friends.
Adding to the charm of the ceremony were her four children — North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm — who joined in the festivities dressed in adorable, custom black outfits featuring white dress shirts and black ties, resembling miniature lawyers. Their coordinated ensembles paid tribute to their mom’s incredible effort and made the celebration even more personal.
Kim’s legal path has been unique. Rather than attending a traditional law school, she opted for the California Law Office Study Program. Under the guidance of licensed mentors, she studied law through a self-study model that required consistent dedication — reportedly clocking in 18 hours a week, 48 weeks a year for six straight years.
Jessica Jackson, one of Kim’s legal mentors, noted that she completed over 5,000 hours of study while simultaneously raising children, running businesses, and maintaining her public persona.
The road to this achievement wasn’t smooth. Kim famously failed the baby bar exam twice before finally passing on her third attempt in 2021 — a moment she celebrated publicly as a sign of her resilience. She recently passed the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE), a prerequisite for taking the California Bar Exam, which she is expected to attempt either in July or February.
Despite the fanfare of her graduation, legal experts caution that Kim’s journey to becoming a fully licensed attorney isn’t over. Attorney Goldie Schon noted that Kim skipped many of the formative experiences provided by traditional law schools. She emphasized that while law school teaches students how to think like lawyers, the California Bar Exam demands not only deep knowledge but also quick analytical skills — a challenge even for those who’ve studied in accredited institutions.
Still, Kim’s commitment is undeniable. Her next hurdle is the notoriously difficult California Bar Exam, with a passage rate hovering just above 50%. As she prepares to condense six years of study into a few intense months of review, fans and followers alike will be watching — and rooting — for her next big win.
