Featured Artists, Workshops, and Printmaking Demos

This year’s event coincides with Print Day in May, a global celebration of printmaking. To mark the occasion, Fundacion Sanso has curated a series of free workshops and demos led by skilled artist-printmakers.

Starting at 1pm, artist Anton Villaruel will conduct a relief printmaking demo of rubber cut and collagraph techniques. Following that, Hanan Initiative will lead a workshop focusing on the basics of printmaking using Inday Cadapan woodblocks.

Guests are encouraged to bring their own items to print on, such as shirts, bags, or paper, with a nominal donation supporting Fundacion Sanso’s scholarships and grants fund. It’s an accessible way to own an Inday Cadapan artwork. Last but not least is Hannah Nantes’s carborundum collagraph print technique demo using Cranfield Inks and the Limbag Kamay press.
